Tubah District Hospital has been a pillar of healthcare in the Tubah region since its establishment in 1964. Founded with the goal of meeting the growing medical needs of the local population, Tubah District Hospital has grown from a modest facility into a full-service healthcare institution known for its quality, compassion, and innovation.
What is known today as the District Hospital Tubah started in 1964 as Bambui Health Center headed by a Nurse. In 1993 it became a Medicalised Health Center with a resident medical doctor, Dr. Fozao becoming the first C.M.O under the then Bamenda Health District and one year later, 1994 it was raised to a District Hospital to cater for the health needs of the then Tubah –Bafut health District. In the year 2004 Tubah Health District was created with a district hospital following a decree signed on the 24/9/2004 but it became functional in 2006.
Dr. Fozao then handed the leadership to Dr. Nyamdi who later handed leadership to Dr. Ntoh Daniel. Dr. TENO Divine became the Director of the Hospital in March 2012 till 2019 when he further handed to Dr. Dingana Therence who has been there till date..
